Our Process
Building or renovating is a big decision, so we’ve developed a clear, structured process to keep everything organised, transparent and on track. From first conversation through to final handover, our goal is to make the experience as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
Approach — Every project begins with a simple conversation.
You contact us to discuss your plans—whether it’s a new home, an extension, a renovation or a combination of building and glazing work. We listen to your goals, preferred style, budget and any timing constraints, and we outline how we can help. This stage is about understanding what you want to achieve and making sure we’re the right fit for your project.
Research — Next, we move into a more detailed discovery phase.
We arrange an on-site meeting to walk through the property, take measurements and photos, and identify any site-specific challenges or opportunities. During this time we also:
- Review relevant regulations and requirements
- Consult with trusted suppliers about materials, systems and options
- Consider staging, access and logistics for the build
This research allows us to propose solutions that are practical, compliant and aligned with your vision.
Acceptance — Using the information gathered, we prepare a detailed written quote.
This document clearly outlines:
- Scope of work
- Key inclusions and allowances
- Major materials and finishes (where specified)
- Estimated timelines and pricing structure
Our quotes are generally issued within 14 days and are typically valid for 30 days, giving you time to review and ask questions. Only once you’re comfortable with the proposal and formally accept it do we move ahead to scheduling.
Commencement — Once the quote is accepted, we lock everything in.
We confirm a formal start date and create a project schedule that coordinates trades, material deliveries, inspections and key milestones. At this stage we also:
- Finalise any outstanding selections or documentation
- Confirm how and when we’ll provide updates
- Outline any access or site requirements
The aim is to ensure you know exactly what to expect before work begins on site.
Collaboration — Throughout the build, we treat communication as a priority.
We provide regular updates—via calls, emails and/or site meetings—so you always know:
- What has been completed
- What is happening next
- Any decisions that need your input
If variations or unforeseen issues arise, we discuss them with you transparently before proceeding. Our team works closely with you, our trades and suppliers to keep the project running smoothly, safely and efficiently, without compromising on quality.
Completion
As the project nears the finish line, we carry out thorough checks. We:
- Inspect the work against plans, specifications and our quality standards
- Identify and rectify any defects or touch-ups
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and approvals
Once everything meets both our expectations and yours, we complete the formal handover. We walk you through the finished spaces, answer any questions and ensure you feel confident and informed about your new home or renovated area.
