Our Process
At Montague Glass House, we follow a clear, structured process so every glass and aluminium project runs smoothly—from first enquiry to final clean-up. Whether you’re upgrading windows, installing new shower screens or adding glass balustrades, this is how we work with you:
Approach — It starts with a conversation.
You get in touch and tell us what you’re hoping to achieve—new windows, a bathroom upgrade, glass balustrades or a full glazing package for a renovation or new build. We’ll ask a few questions about your home, your goals, your budget and any timelines we need to work around.
Research — Next, we visit your property to properly understand the space.
We take measurements and photos, assess existing openings and structures, and talk through design and product options with you on site. Behind the scenes, we also consult with trusted suppliers to confirm the most suitable glass, frames and hardware for your project, making sure our recommendations match your needs and local conditions.
Acceptance — Based on our site visit and research, we prepare a detailed, obligation-free quote.
This is usually issued within 14 days and is generally valid for 30 days. The quote clearly outlines what’s included—materials, labour and any additional services—so you can review everything with confidence and make an informed decision before proceeding.
Commencement — Once you’re happy to move forward and accept the quote, we lock in a start date and confirm the schedule with you.
We coordinate ordering of glass and aluminium, book in our team and any other trades required, and make sure you know what to expect, when we’ll be on site and how long the work is likely to take.
Collaboration — During the installation phase, we keep communication open.
For larger projects, this can include regular or weekly updates; for smaller jobs, we’ll touch base at key stages so you’re never left wondering what’s happening. If any adjustments are needed along the way, we discuss them with you clearly before making changes, so there are no surprises.
Completion
When the work is finished, we carry out final checks to ensure everything meets our standards—and yours. We walk you through the completed glazing, answer any questions about care and maintenance, and address any defects or touch-ups promptly. Only once everything is complete, clean and performing as it should do we consider the project finished.
